Income through Fruit Trees
Almost every summer, forest fires rage to varying degrees in the mountainous region on the north coast of Algeria. As a result, entire families in an agricultural area lose all their fruit trees. The perennial fruit trees fall victim to the flames. The families affected lose their previous source of income.
The partner of SwissRelief helps affected families to buy new trees, plant them and reforest. This help for self-help already leads to a sustainable solution in a short time.
